Well, zilch on responses to my last few blog entries... except from Ruke, but only because I directed his attention to it. No Ruke, I don't work in a hospital. I never have, I never will.

Maybe one day I will... but only if music doesn't work out for me.

In any case, I'm making an entry here more for the sake of making an entry.

My "Mortal Kombat Komics" (As Jaymie has taken to calling them) have reached their seventh installment. To recap, here is the full list of all the episodes.

Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat II: Sorcerer's Rising
Mortal Kombat III: The Queen's Tournament
Mortal Kombat IV: Outworld
Mortal Kombat V: The Reaver Prophecy
Mortal Kombat VI: The Khyron Expanse
Mortal Kombat VII: Mortal Kombat

As I've summarized the first installment through the fourth, I'll include only the fifth to the seventh here.

MK V: This one places importance on an ancient prophecy that links all the previous installments together. The god-like progeny of Kitana and Shang Tsung has returned to Earth Realm to fulfill his destiny as the "Reaver", the destroyer of all realms. He corrupts Rayden, the protector of Earth Realm, into doing his bidding. This one features the destruction of love in all its forms, as well as the deaths of people in relationships. Call it a catharsis. This one also features two endings. I initially planned to just give up on the whole Mortal Kombat Komics thing, and ended it all with the destruction of all realms. Jaymie didn't like it, which was motivation enough to make an alternate ending where the heroes save the day.

MK VI: In this one, Kitana and Shang Tsung's progeny (name witheld to prevent spoilers... I have plans to put this online) has decided to open his own portals, and has found a new realm called the Khyron Expanse. This one feels like the worst one so far for me, and even features references to Arthurian legends regarding Merlin. In this one, the "progeny" takes a wife, who has a rather illustrious past.

MK VII: This one has the simple subtitle of "Mortal Kombat". This one goes 368 years into the past and documents the creation of Mortal Kombat, its purposes, and even details the happenings of the first tournament, and the first contestants. The eight gods, Ishten, Enygmus, Dorn, Jad, Lyria, Cora, Shao Kahn and a newly ascended Rayden have decided to create a tournament for their own entertainment. The winner would gain glory and conquer the weak. The weak would be annihilated. I'm in the middle of writing this one, but it features characters that are the starting point for many of the characters histories as found in the first Mortal Kombat video game.

eh... I've written enough today. Until next time.
