1:07 AM Though is says Sunday on this entry, I began it at 11:57 PM on Saturday. Saturday marked my first full shift at work. Well, kind of. See, my brother caught the flu, so I had to cover for him on Wednesday and Thursday. And then Saturday, I had to work my shift. It was 12 hours. The time passed by quickly, so the number of hours I had to work was definitely not a problem. So, what was the problem, you ask? I'll tell you. Earlier this week, we had a major cold snap. This meant lots and lots of snow. Then, a chinook (if you don't live in Alberta, it's a local weather phenomenon where warm air and weather breaks the cold weather that's happening) came in and melted all the snow. This left the site that I patrol a giant mud pit. Oh God, the mud. So much mud. I never want to see mud after my Sunday shift. If I do, I won't be responsible for my actions. Namely the flamethrower I'll use while trying to dry out all the dirt so people can walk on it. I am in much pain and I'm so tired and sore. I need to rest. For now, I'm resting and sitting at the computer, unwinding. Phew, I'm so, so tired.
