PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Height: 5’6
Hair: Auburn Red/Brown
Eyes: Dark Brown
General Appearance: Rich Auburn hair, long with a feathered cut. Dark Mahogany colored eyes. Slender but not overly thin. She looks very much like a lady of her station. Autumn is considered a ‘natural’ beauty, she isn’t the most beautiful woman of the courts, but does shine over the average women. Her clothing consists of the latest London styles, usually in neutral tones, or fall colors.
Strengths: Grace of movement.
Weaknesses: She can’t swim, despite how much she’s tried. She usually panics.

MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

Allies: None. Friends come few and far between in the courts.
Enemies: Anastasia Riktophen. The woman’s life goal is to see Autumn dead, yet Autumn still stayed…
Current Purpose: Survival. Autumn is just trying to survive.
Talents: Photography. Autumn can capture the most beautiful images with ease.
Inabilities: Chit Chat, and Small Talk. She is never up in the latest gossip, nor does she know much about useless facts… She tends to draw a blank in conversations and tries to avoid them when possible.
Fears: Darkness, Deep Water, Prolonged Physical Contact. These fears have much to do with tragic and frightening events of her past, and they often give her trouble at the most inopportune times.
General Personality: Quiet, polite, reserved, secretive, mysterious. The world sees Autumn as a just another lady of the courts. She does what she must to be accepted by her peers, and tries to keep a good emotional distance from people.
Inner Personality: Autumn’s true self is hidden behind a huge barrier, and would no doubt surprise most people. She tends to be mischievous, strong-willed, and even charismatic on the rare occasions anyone can catch a glimpse. The only other still alive that has seen at least a part Autumn’s “true self” would be her mother-in-law, Anastasia. Unfortunately this is a must with the woman’s radical, sometimes cruel attitude towards her son’s widowed wife. Autumn will do what she must to survive, even if it means molding herself to situations. Breaking here out of her “shell” would be difficult, as she doesn’t really trust anyone. Even with those that prove to be allies, she still holds them at a distance.
Fondest Memory: Autumn barely remembers her life as child, but does having fleeting memories of songs her mother would sing to her.
Biggest Regret:
Secret: Autumn has a talent with that camera of hers. Pretty pictures weren’t the only things she can capture on film. She also has a knack for finding supernatural beings through the lens of her camera. This includes showing the “real face” of beings and things. Whether this is ‘her’ power or the ‘camera’ is unknown.

SPECIALTY CHARACTERISTICS

Special Items: Camera & accompanied equipment. It’s large and bulky as most camera’s of the day are, so she general doesn’t take it from her home unless for some special occasion.
Magics: She can capture supernatural elements on film with her camera.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History: Autumn grew up as in a middle class family in Hungary. She had a relatively normal childhood nothing out of the ordinary. She eventually picked up an interest in Photography. When she reached her later teen years, her father received an offer from a Baron. If he could marry his daughter, he’d make sure the family was well taken care of for the rest of their lives. He agree’d though Autumn did not. But she knew her duty, and had no choice in the matter. She married the Baron a few weeks later. (insert parents dying)

(insert brief history about Marriage to Lorant.) The marriage was strained, but Autumn dealt with it as she could. The castle was cold, empty, and generally lonely. Her husband spent most of his time traveling the world, leaving Autumn to entertain herself.

(Lorant’s death) The only person she had left was her senile old mother-in-law, Anstasia Riktophen. Whom half the time is either trying to poison her food or hire various people to kill her daughter-in-law. Why she says? She’s really not sure herself, but Anastasia is technically the only family she has left.. despite how evil she is.

Present Life: Finding life in the Baron’s castle dark and lonely, (not to mention dangerous), Autumn and Anastasia Riktophen have moved into a nice home in London to be closer to the courts and aristocratic families of the time. Autumn spends her days avoiding Anastasia’s many temper tantrums by talking as many walks as possible and socializing amongst “friends”.

Special Historic Notes:
– Marriage to the Baron Lorant Riktophen.
– Lorant’s Death.
– Discovery her ‘talent’ with her photography.

Aside from that, Kris does not dress very impressively, and is happy wearing t-shirts and jeans, along with the occasional jacket.
Strengths: Seeing as she’s a magnet for trouble, her friend Trevor has made sure to keep Kris well trained in self defense moves.
Weaknesses: Kris has a fast mouth and a bad habit of saying just the right thing to tick a person off, especially people she isn’t fond of.

MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

Enemies: Um… what enemies? Oh. THOSE enemies.
Current Purpose: Reluctantly staying in England to learn more about her family history, and finishing out collage.
Talents: Photography. Kris also fancies herself a good dancer.

Inner Personality: Kris is very practical at heart, and loves life on the road. Ever since she was a little girl, though, she was able to see ghosts through the lens of a camera. At first she was terrified, and refused to even look at a camera, but as time went on, she came to accept her gift, and now sees it as a wonderful incentive to travel the world and take pictures. She has ghostly photos from almost every place on Earth, but rarely shows them to people.
Fondest Memory: A dream she had about her late granddad. She was able to tell him all the things she had always wanted to say to him after he died, but never got the chance to while he was living. Kris feels that her grandfather still watches her today and keeps her safe.
Biggest Regret: Kris has no real fondness for her gift of sight. The gift has run in the Riktophen line (her mother’s side of the family) for generations. When her mother realized Kris had the gift too, she was instantly determined that her daughter learn everything she can about their family history. Especially since she was named after her ancestor Autumn Riktophen, whose story has enchanted her mother so.
Secret:

SPECIALTY CHARACTERISTICS

Special Items: Camera and all its equipment. She ALWAYS has a camera with her, even if it’s the little “one time use” pocket cameras.
Magics: The gift of unnatural sight. Through her camera lens and sometimes without, Kris can see past any aura or illusion of being has up straight to their “true” form.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History: Kris was born on November 14th, to a pair of wonderful parents, if not a wee bit strange. Her mother, Ivory, was a descendant of the Riktophen line. Her father Darius Kristof, a historian from Europe. Ivory was enchanted with the story of Autumn Riktophen, and was so pleased when her own daughter was born on their ancestor’s birthday that she gave her that namesake. From early on, Kris had a very close connection with her family, especially her granddad, Roger. He affectionately called her Lil Kristof or “Kris” so often that the namesake seemed to stick.

When Kris was six years old, though, Roger died of a terminal illness. At his funeral, Kris asked her mother if she could take a picture of the church that the services were being held at. When they were developed, Kris found her granddad standing outside the church in the picture.

Nobody was able to explain the weird phenomenon, but the most commonly accepted theory was that obviously, Roger’s ghost had shown up in the photograph. Kris was very proud of the picture, and she hung it up on her wall. As time went on, more ghosts began appearing in her pictures, and Kris’s joy quickly turned into fear.

Until she was twelve years old, Kris refused to touch another camera. It was around that time, though, that Roger appeared to her in a dream, and comforted her worries. He told her that this was a very special gift she had been given, and she should be proud of it. With Roger’s words reassuring her, Kris began taking pictures for her junior high and high school’s newspaper, and eventually decided on Photojournalism as her major in college.

Of course, being a rebellious youth, the more Ivory pushed Kris to learn more about her ancestry and the history about her gift, the more Kris wanted it to go away. Her mother’s enthusiasm and constant prodding bothered her more than any of the ghosts in her pictures did. She constantly curses her namesake, and the weird circumstances that came along with it. Often wishing she could’ve been born to a more normal family.

Present Life: Finally giving in to her mother’s constant requests, Kris has moved to London to complete her last year of collage and learn a little more about her history.
