Character Name: Holly Merideth Roberts

Gender: Female

Job/Role: Intern at The Chronicle

Age: 24

Family: Father; Jim (Dead), Mother; Merideth (Dead) Older Brother; Noel (Dead), Aunt Nancy & Uncle Kevin.

General Appearance: Shoulder length curly dark brown hair, greyish green eyes. Average figure, 5’5″. Dresses neat and appropriate for work. Opts for a simply tshirt and jeans when not.

Current Goal/Purpose: Keep Living.

General Personality: Before last winter, Holly was the “joy of the party” kind of girl. She had a great sense of humor, loves joking, was easy to talk to, and really friendly. If you had a problem, Holly would know what to do. Needed someone to liven up an awkward crowd? Holly would throw herself out there and get the party started. Out going, extroverted, and full of life. After losing her family… Holly doesn’t see much worth living for anymore. She has this misconceived notion that she should have died too. She doesn’t go out with friends anymore, spend too long chatting with people, or like to get involved. Around holidays she can get sort of snippy or moody.

General History:
Holly was born the second child to her parents Jim and Merideth Roberts. They were a great family, happy, close, and really got in to the spirit of the holidays! Christmas was Merideth’s favorite, naming her eldest son Noel and her daughter Holly. Childhood was filled with fun family get togethers, school plays, hanging out with friends. As an adult, Holly was just coming out of college to do her last year as an intern at The Chronicle.

Life pretty much came to a standstill for Holly when there was a freak accident two years ago during the holiday season. They were taking the boat out along with a couple other family members on the weekend after Thanksgiving. The engine below deck went out, and while her father and brother were trying to fix it, something exploded. Her father died instantly from the impact, her brother suffered such severe burns that he died a few days later. Her mother ended up with a severe pneumonia from the cold and weather and died shortly after Christmas. Leaving Holly alone with her Aunt and Uncle.

It’s coming around to the second holiday season without her family and Holly hates it. If it were up to her she’d skip the month altogether.

Holly currently lives in her parents home, which now belongs to her. Along with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Kevin. Nancy and Kevin are worried about Holly’s “stability” during the holiday season and like to keep a close eye on her. They don’t think she’ll do anything foolish, but the season is always filled with surprises and one can never be too careful! (Last year she set Santa on fire. She said it was an accident, but well..!)
