General Appearance: 5’9″ with a strong well-toned frame, curved features. Several scars from past injuries and accident. The most noticeable, a gunshot scar between her shoulder just to the left. Black hair beyond the shoulder, bangs past her eyes. Usually kept up in a tight messy bun. Brown eyes. Cassie dresses 100% practical. Slim but stretchable pants, form hugging shirts, durable leather coat, strong hiking boots.

General Personality: “What a bitch.” is how 99% of the world would describe Cassie, including her family, partner, acquaintances and even herself. She doesn’t apologize for her attitude. Cassie is blunt and to the point. She doesn’t waste her time with political correctness, politeness or worrying about other people’s feelings. She tends to be self absorbed in her own little world and personal agendas, with little care or regard for other people.
Inner Personality: In reality… There’s a lot more to Cassie than what she displays to people. Even she doesn’t really “get” herself. Cassie has has a very strong code of ethics. She’s not going to hurt some harmless innocent person (but you just try and see how hard it is to be considered ‘innocent’ by Cassie’s standards.). She is blindly loyal once she aligns herself with someone. She might seem fierce or ready to turn on you at the drop of a hat, but when Cassie says she’ll stand by you, Cassie means it. Cassie never breaks a promise. When you get down and dirty, and under her skin… You see that Cassie has major trust issues. She has no desire to get close with people, and keeps herself at a safe distance. Past bad experiences has made her pretty harsh.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND
General History:
Cassie grew up with her little sister in a broken home. Her parents decided they wouldn’t get a divorce because “staying together is best for the girls.” Only, they spent every waking hour screaming or fighting. It was miserable, uncomfortable, and occasionally could get violent.
Cassie spent as much time as possible away from the house. Being involved in extracurricular activities like sports, music, clubs, and tutoring programs. Being a great student meant more time away, meant not being so stressed out.
In college Cassie decided to go for a degree in History and Archeology. She got involved with an assistant teacher who incidentally was one of those “guns for hire”. A traveling relic hunter. He took her on a few of his ‘missions’, and she found her calling. They made a pretty good team together, but when Cassie was turning from just ‘a fun partner with benefits’ to ‘a possible rival that can outshine’ the guy wasn’t liking it. Cassie started getting called for those little missions, and during one trip he ended up shooting her while her back was turned and taking off with the prize.
Cassie really isn’t sure how she didn’t die that day, but with the way Professor Yoshi goes on about it she apparently owes it all to him. Yoshi, being a huge influence at her college as well as her ‘boss’, is the one person she can’t seem to say no to. He gives her money for school, he gives her jobs, he saves her life, he owns her soul.
Cassie ended up partnered with Barbara, one of her school rivals, after her recovery. At first, Cassie refused to have any more partners, but there was no saying no to Yoshi. Eventually, Cassie developed a trust and respect for Babs. They make a good team and Babs has yet to let her down. Cassie still keeps the women at a safe distance, but Babs is the closet thing to a friend that Cassie has, so she gets protective of that friendship.
Her “bad” relationship with Thor Adams can be attributed to wanting to keep Babs away from him mixed with an odd natural attraction that she’s trying to ignore. Babs is always nice to the guy, getting under Cassie’s skin as she’d like to KEEP her partner… And there’s just something about Thor that even Cassie seems to like, thus it makes her unsettled and irritated with the whole situation.
