Every culture has it’s legends of symbolic balance. Yin and Yang. Light and Dark. Water and Fire. Good and Evil. One cannot exist without the other or the balance of existence would fall in to mortal peril. To keep the world on it’s axis, there are people across the globe that hold these keystones of power. Their souls constantly regenerating in the cycle of death and rebirth.
…But if these souls were ever captured. All of them at once time… Existence would be thrown in to a harsh land of death and oblivion for the rest of eternity.
To protect these souls from harm, there are the guardians. Men or woman that dedicate their lives to their one soul. Protecting them from being taken in to oblivion.
