The Keepers

Location: The S.T.A.R.S. (Survival Transfer And Relocation Station) Project Colonizer

A colonizer ship has set out from Earth to find a new habitable planet. Because space travel has yet to be perfected by humans, it still takes hundreds of years before reaching new systems and galaxies. The majority of the occupants on board must be kept in a cryogenic sleep, only to be awakened when they reach a new world. These colonists are cared for by a small team of people that live out their lives simply for the sake of keeping the colonizer ship functional. Occasionally new people are awakened from the cryo-chambers to take over.

It’s been centuries since the colonizer has left Earth and it’s coming in to the territory of inhabited space. A planet with the perfect conditions for human life is drawing closer. Yet, something is going wrong. An unknown lifeform has gotten on to the ship and the Keepers must stay alive to ensure the future of the human race.

It started with the ravens and crows. Landing on roof tops, in the trees. They weren’t… normal. Their feathers would shift. Eyes would follow. More flew in.

They were the first sign of the beginnings of the end.

Soon it was the resurrection. Up from the grave, the ground, the earth… they rose. The long dead, the recently deceased. Some called them zombies, others called them ghosts. Demons. Wraiths. No matter the name, they had risen sending our civilization in to dark ages. Is this what ancient religions and prophecies predicted? The apocalypse?

The Undead have risen, sending society in to a new era of fear and death! People must avoid being devoured, killed, maimed by these things while still carrying out their normal lives. No one knows how or why they have risen. For the past 20+ years it has simply been a part of life. You begin in the town of Baronhall. Be you a villager or a stranger, Baronhall has managed to deal with the undead for years to lead semi-normal lives. A wall was built around the village to keep it safe, but still no one goes outside at night. You never know when and where one of the undead might be risen.

Yet, Baronhall is not without it’s problems. A gang of bandits are trying to terrorize the town. They’ve been pillaging the farms and homes outside the town walls. The sheriff has recently died, leaving no one in charge of protecting the town.

The Redbrook Bed and Breakfast was once a mansion owned by an eccentric millionaire. It’s nestled in a beautiful thick-wood forest with it’s own private lake, gardens, cemetery, and in the near distance you can see the beginning rise of a mountain. It is picturesque and wonderful in every way.

But when you check in to Redbrook, you almost never check out. It’s noted as one of the most haunted and disturbing places in the country. There have been murders, disappearances, and a wide variety of horrible events to happen there. …Yet the Inn remains open to the public.

Family fun or just trying to scare yourself, this HUGE haunted house used to be a large hotel. Newly opened just this year, it’s the first time anyone has seen the inside. They tell you when you walk in that [i]everyone dies[/i] by the end. Do you believe it…?

You should. Far from cheap parlor tricks and bad special effects, the things you run in to are real. Dangerously real.

You are a human person that visited this Haunted House thinking you were going to have some fun. You can have any sort of human character you like. You CAN have a magical or supernatural character. You CAN’T have any weapons or items and stuff on you. You only have what you were able to carry in as a person going for a tour. You thought this was going to be fun! (Or someone insisted it was going to be fun!)

Bios are not a required item, but I love seeing what your character ideas are so I can build up some plot points!

There is a place between the human world and the paranormal worlds. Filled with endless halls and doorways, a person could walk through this purgatory space to gain insight, knowledge, or even travel to other places. But going through here is dangerous. Demons and spirits have claimed these spaces and will kill anyone not protected. Every person, every creature, seems to be represented by their own personal letter or symbol. When this symbol is carved in to the skin and covered with fresh blood, it will keep your demons at bay.

If you dare travel without it, you are sure to lose yourself within the halls of purgatory.

You are a guest on this very secretive, very special tour of Purgatory. Your reasons for being there are your own. You took great pains in finding out what your Bloodletter of protection was. Pray it’s the right one!

Arseidis: Ghost Town

A ghost town has been discovered in near perfect condition, inspiring a team of archeologists to explore and see if ancient legend about curses are true. They are seeking a book, something containing history about the town, but they are not the only ones there. The town is haunted by condemned souls and nightmarish creatures. Is the pursuit of history more important than their own lives…?



You’d think in this modern time there would be no more hidden places. No more secrets. Yet, there it was. A town nestled away in a northwest forest of Wyoming has recently been discovered. Abandoned in the late 1880s, it’s been hidden away on someone’s private property for the past hundred years. The origins of Arseidis started normal enough. Founded by two businessmen who were establishing trade and mining in the area. Yet, within ten years, the town become home to villainy and vagrants. Thieves, gunslingers, gamblers. Arseidis was a hellmouth of mankind’s worse traits. Rumors spread that the town was cursed. Everything from “built on Indian burial grounds” to “voodoo priestess” to “a gate to hell itself”. Then, without warning or explanation, everyone in the town was gone. People assumed that the denizens packed up and left. Others believed they vanished. The abandoned town faded in to obscurity.

Discovered by a group of students at a local university, finding a town like this rich with history and intrigue is too good to pass up. A “team” of people have been organized to investigate. This hodgepodge of people whose interests vary from American History to Paranormal Studies have come to see what they can uncover about Arseidis and it’s fate.

You are someone part of the team here to discover Arseidis’ history and secrets. You can be a student or faculty of the University there because you have an interest of some sort, or you can be someone that was hired to help this “expedition”. There is no [i]proven[/i] supernatural existence that you are aware of. So, yes you must play a human and no you can not have magic or powers. Outside of that, you’re welcome to get creative with characters, but make sure they fit the setting. Don’t show up as a ninja or British spy.
