Abilities: Caldea can create and bend fire to her will. Creating it, bending it, anything with fire and she’s got it down to a flawless art.
Weaknesses: Having spent so much of her life dealing with the heat and flames, Caldea is not very cold or water resistant. It’s very hard for her to function normally in cooler climates with all her teeth chattering and shivering. She hates the rain, ocean, rivers, and can’t swim. When she’s forced to take a bath, she makes sure the water is good and hot.
Notable Items: A Pipe of which she doesn’t let out of her sight. It’s her favorite thing.
Appearance: Tiger Gold eyes filled with the sorrow of a thousand angry bears. With semi long wavy red hair that could be akin to the fires of hell. Her body is not so much as slender as it is solid, like the immovable mountains. Her clothing is sturdy and well made, generally form fitting without being tight and in very bland shades of brown and cream. …like the dirt of… the ground. She never looks at all happy unless she’s been smoking on her pipe.
Personality: Focused and one-track minded. Maybe even obsessive. Caldea has lived her life devoted to the arts of learning her craft to perfection, shunning all else. She doesn’t seem to have much of a sense of humor, or know how to really interact with people outside of a “business” relationship. Caldea is cool, reserved, almost that stereotypical stoic figure… until she’s involved with fire. Playing with fire is like a freedom of expression. A dance, an art. Beyond that, she is most relaxed when chilling by a fire, smoking her pipe and listening to music.
History: Caldea spent her days learning her craft at one of the many Mage Schools. This went beautifully as she mastered the art of firestaring… until the school was completely ravaged by an outside source. The Master Mages refused to admit that perhaps their all-powerful teachings weren’t as unbeatable as they claimed. They went as far as to demean their followers, insisting that they were the ones who had not mastered their craft properly and allowed the school to fall prey. Caldea, being one of the ones that fought to the best of their abilities, knowing damned well they were spewing nonsense – couldn’t stand it. When her defense was ignored and her suggestions for improvement thrown out, Caldea chose to leave. The event altered her perception on the craft, on the direction of her life. Caldea now travels the world looking for a new direction. She wants the opportunity to learn new arts and find something more substantial to believe in.
